Landscape architecture services:
Verdis worked with ALSC Architects on the schematic design and construction documentation for a 10-acre new school building on a steep site in North Idaho. Verdis designed and completed construction documentation for planting, irrigation, play equipment, ball fields and site hardscape. Planting design included: careful plant palette selection for elementary school grounds, site trees and foundation plantings. Irrigation design included: 4” looped mainline, a 2-wire Controller system for future expansion, zoning for drip areas and deep root watering, rotary sprinklers, and large soccer and baseball field rotor zones. Careful attention was placed into the design of the irrigation zones so that the watering schedule could be completed during off-peak and nighttime hours to avoid hazards of running irrigation during the school day. Verdis assisted with the development of the booster pump station by recommending various pump sizes to achieve the current and projected future expansion demands of the system.
